EVIDENCE SUMMARY
There has only been one study implicating MRAS alteration with the NS phenotype (Higgins et al., 2017). The study identified two patients with de novo variants in MRAS and a clinical diagnosis of Noonan syndrome. The MRAS gene is also associated with the Ras/MAPK pathway which is associated with the NS phenotype (Aoki et al., 2016; Rauen, 2013). In summary, the evidence supporting the MRAS:Noonan association is limited and further reports are necessary to strengthen the clinical validity of the gene
